Popcorn Lung

Popcorn lung, or bronchitis obliterans, is a rare and irreversible lung disease caused by inhaling diacetyl. Diacetyl is a chemical compound that was once used in artificial butter flavouring, including in some microwave popcorn products. However, misinformation on this health issue is often linked to vaping.
